Here is how you ask and answer a very common question:

Use "comment" to tell us what you want to do when you grow up. If you want to be a Linux network administrator and you don't know how to say it in Italian, LIE: say that you want to be a PIZZAIOLO instead.

Read your classmates choices and follow the (grammatically) good examples. I will delete comments with errors.

So, ANALYZE grammatically the sentence very carefully and stick to the model (hint, do not forget the article).

I sent an email to my friends in Italy asking them which was the most common way to ask "when is your birthday" in Italian.

Below, I posted my question and all the answers I received (some contain also personal messages -- nothing too personal that you can't read them).

TRANSLATE MY QUESTION to the best of your ability and FIGURE OUT HOW MANY people chose one version or the other. (Also, for fun, read and understand their messages to me.)

di preferenza forse per dare enfasi al mio ruolo attivo nel crescere. Ora da

Each student will write one word, in italiano, associated with ALLUVIONE.

The second student will copy the first word and start a list adding a second word.

The third student will copy words 1 and 2 and add a new word.

TRY TO STICK TO USEFUL WORDS (think about weather, bad weather, what do you use when it rains, what's in the sky when it rains, what kind of bodies of water overflow. You can list technical words as long as they are immediately recognizable -- they are cognates.)

Why did I use 'come va' e 'come sta'?  What is the respective meaning?
